Red Envelope Campaign March 31, 2009

Join us on March 31st for the Red Envelope Campaign. By sending Red envelopes March 31st from all over the nation to the White House we can let President Obama know we do not support his abortion policies. All it takes is you picking up a red envelope and a stamp! We even have envelopes addressed ready for pickup at The Options Clinic—stop by!

On the front, address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, D.C. 20500

On the back, write the following message:

This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world. Responsibility beings with conception.

Help build support for the "Choose Life license plate" bill by signing a Petition.

Representative Larry Phillips (R-Sherman) has introduced H.B. 109 in the Texas Legislature to create a specialty license plate with the pro-adoption message "Choose Life." Funds generates from the sales of the plates will go to pro-life pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, Gabriel Projects, and other non-profit agencies that promote adoption as a compassionate alternative to abortion.

Help build support for the Choose Life license plate bill by signing the "Petition for a Choose Life License Plates." We have more than 12,000 signatures out of our goal of 25,000. Go the web page to sign it yourself by clicking -HERE-. A button at the bottom allows you to email it to friends and to pro-life email lists.

Get more information at www.TXChoose-Life.org.

The excitement has percolated through the Capitol walls! Already 72 of the 150 members of the Texas House have signed on to endorse H.B. 109. For a list, click -HERE-. Only four more are needed to reach the magic number of 76 for a majority. "I've never seen a wave of support like this for a pro-life bill," said Joe Pojman, Ph.D., TAL's executive director. "And I've been lobbying for more than 20 years!"

Texas among states with proposal to require ultrasound before abortion
Dallas Morning news
01:58 PM CST on Sunday, February 8, 2009 Associated Press

LINCOLN, Neb. – Abortion foes have a new tactic: The hope that women can't look away.
Lawmakers in 11 states are considering bills that would offer or require ultrasounds before a woman gets an abortion. The most stringent are proposed laws in Nebraska, Indiana and Texas, which would require a doctor show the ultrasound image of the fetus to the woman, despite legal challenges to a similar measure in Oklahoma.

Happy New Year!

It’s a new year full of new possibilities, opportunities, and memories-in-the-making. Kind of reminds me of new life! Each time I look into the eyes of one of the babies that I first saw in a sonogram, I’m reminded of how bright the future looks. But I’m equally aware of the challenges and choices involved in bringing new life and new possibilities into the world.

This New Year offers great opportunities for Grace House Ministries! But it will take you—your prayers and financial support—to turn challenge into opportunity. I have no doubt that, with God’s grace, we can do it!

NAEA - STD Crisis Requires Priority on Prevention

Gov. Perry to headline Texas Rally for Life on Saturday, at the Capitol in Austin!

http://texasrallyforlife.org/Images2009/RallyLogo_w_small.jpg

Join thousands of Texans on Saturday, January 24, at the Texas Rally for Life at the Capitol in Austin to commemorate the tragic Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that struck down Texas and other state laws protecting mothers and their unborn children from abortion. In the 36 years since Roe, legal abortion has claimed the lives of more than 49 million innocent unborn children and has harmed countless women -- physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We will gather at Republic Square in downtown Austin at 1 p.m. (4th and Guadalupe Streets) and march up Congress Avenue. The Rally begins at 2 p.m at the south steps of the State Capitol. Please invite your friends, family, and members of your church to join us.

Make the 2009 Rally the largest ever!

Let's show our legislators and the media that Texans want laws that help men and women "Choose Life," not death.
