Baby Grace is our benevolent center providing clients, who are currently enrolled in the Empowered Life education program, material resources for themselves and their babies. Open Monday thru Wednesday from 9 until 4 pm.

 

 

The Director of Baby Grace, Sue Gilbert, recently received this letter from a client.

 

“Dear Mrs. Sue,

First of all I just wanted to thank you for being the sweet and wonderful person that you are. You have been a blessing and encouragement! Your ministry has placed joy in my heart and I feel blessed to be allowed to participate in it with all the other girls. I know there must be a countless number of moms needing your help, and yet you still seem to care about my family’s needs.

I have been living in Texas now for almost five years. I have no family that lives here with me, and with my husband staying busy with his work it’s easy for me to feel very lonely. Although my husband is a great man, he is not serving the Lord. My efforts seem to be single and burdensome at times. Discouragement seems to be a companion to loneliness. Although I pray for God’s joy to overcome these feelings, sometimes I just feel overwhelmed and defeated.

I think you have encouraged me more than you realize. I was hurting today…I needed you call. Thank you!”

Each day because of the generosity of those in our community we our blessed to help Moms, Dads, and babies in need.

Beds for Babies

Beds for Babies lets Mothers apply for a scholarship that enables them to purchase a new crib and mattress. We began this program with grant money from our local Wal-Mart. We have six cribs and mattresses available at this time. The Mothers must complete the scholarship packet and be interviewed by the scholarship committee. This real world experience is a win/win for everyone.
