CHURCH LIAISON

POSITION TITLE: CHURCH LIAISON – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Volunteer’s church
Hours:  Quarterly meeting with Executive Director
Primary Responsibilities:  Represent GHM with one’s own church and educate Christians on the Biblical basis for the sanctity of human life, the truth of abortion, the ministry of GHM and volunteer opportunities plus assisting with special fund-raising events throughout the year.
Education:  High School Diploma
Experience:  None

CLEANING CREW

POSITION TITLE: CLEANING CREW – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Grace House and Options Clinic
Hours: once a month
Primary Responsibilities: An occasional “more thorough” cleaning is needed on top of our basic dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming routines. If you enjoy dancing with the vacuum, we have just the partner!
Experience:  none.

CLIENT ADVOCATE

POSITION TITLE:  CLIENT ADVOCATE – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Options Clinic
Hours:  4 hours weekly
Primary Responsibilities: Crisis intervention; pregnancy testing; counseling on the options of parenting, adoption and abortion; education on abortion and morality; referrals for medical care, adoption and other social services.
Education:  High School Diploma accepted OR some college OR Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:  None
Other:  Training will be provided by staff.

HANDYMAN

POSITION TITLE:  HANDYMAN – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Grace House and Options Clinic

Hours:  as needed
Primary Responsibilities:  To perform basic maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and other small jobs that may be required from time to time.

LIFE RESOURCE COUNSELOR

POSITION TITLE:  LIFE RESOURCE COUNSELOR – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Grace House
Hours: 2-6 weekly
Primary Responsibilities: Encourage client’s efforts to improve their pregnancy outcome and parenting skills. The Center provides maternity clothes, layettes and emergency diapers and formula, life skills classes as well as Bible study classes. Babysitters are needed as well as volunteers acting as mentors and teachers to these families. The volunteers encourage the client’s participation in community involvement whereby they earn vouchers which can be used by these clients to earn resources.
Education:  High School Diploma accepted OR some college OR Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:  None

Other: Training will be provided by staff.

POST ABORTIVE MINISTRY

POSITION TITLE: POST ABORTIVE MINISTRY – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location:  Options Clinic
Hours: varies
Primary Responsibilities: We need volunteers to help us form a post abortive support team. If you have had an abortion experience in your past, we need you! Your story and support could help someone in their healing.

ADOPTION SUPPORT TEAM

POSITION TITLE: ADOPTION SUPPORT TEAM – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Options Clinic
Hours: varies
Primary Responsibilities: We are forming a team of volunteers to seek ways to promote adoption as an option for clients. We want to locate and provide adoption referrals, resources, and support for women and men who are committed to choosing life for their baby, but feel they are not able to provide for this child.

PRAYER MINISTRY

POSITION TITLE:  PRAYER MINISTRY – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Anywhere
Hours: Varies with the Holy Spirit
Primary Responsibilities: Praying for clients, counselors, staff, volunteers, and centers as well as bringing the ministries’ needs before the Lord in prayer.
Education:  A born-again Christian
Experience:  None

Other: Must have email so we can communicate needs.

RECEPTIONIST

POSITION TITLE: RECEPTIONIST – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Grace House and Options Clinic
Hours: 4 hrs a week
Primary Responsibilities: Greets visitors, handles incoming calls and performs general administrative duties. Also may assist client advocates with overflow work, including word processing, data entry and internet research tasks.  

WEBSITE MARKETER

POSITION TITLE: WEBSITE MARKETER – VOLUNTEER POSITION
Location: Grace House, Options Clinic, or home
Hours: 4 hrs a week
Primary Responsibilities: Obtain links to gracehouseministries.net on community or organization websites in order to increase site popularity in search engines.
Education: Two Years of High School
Experience:  Knowledge of computers and internet helpful.
Other: Must be outgoing and willing to contact prospects over the phone or by e-mail.
